Tribeca nominated Production Company looking for Short Film Cast/ KBH

CASTING CALL!
After multiple successful endeavors in the commercial and documentary space with a project currently accepted to the Tribeca Film Festival, Burning Boat is looking to dive head first into its first narrative short project!

TA-DA! is an absurd comedy, a deeply moving story about an abandoned magician who finds himself in the dichotomous desire of both revenge and forgiveness as he plots his final performance: a dark and twisted reunion with his long-lost father.

The director is an experienced filmmaker having studied at NYU and worked in various Los Angeles production houses. He started his own production company Burning Boat 4 years ago.

JACK
CHARACTER: Lead character, orphan, Jens’ abandoned son. Magician and showman by trade.
LOOKING FOR: 20-25 year old. (Must be fluent in English)

JENS
CHARACTER: Secondary character, the birthday boy, remarried for the third time. He is having a birthday party with his new wife, Anne, his friends, Ole and Louise, and his young son.
LOOKING FOR: 55-60 year old, heavy set, red-cheeked man (must be fluent in danish).

ANNE
CHARACTER: Tertiary character, Jens’ new wife and the child’s new stepmother.
LOOKING FOR: 25-30 year old woman (must be fluent in danish).

OLE
CHARACTER: Tertiary character, Louise’s husband and Jens’ friend. Sweater wearing and jolly.
LOOKING FOR: 55-60 year old man (must be fluent in danish).

LOUISE
CHARACTER: Tertiary character, Ole’s wife and Jens’ friend. A racist, overly-dressed and overly-beautified woman.
LOOKING FOR: 45-50 year old woman. (must be fluent in danish).

CHILD
CHARACTER: Tertiary character, Jens’ son and Jack’s brother. Mistreated by his father, he really misses his mum.
LOOKING FOR: 5-10 year old boy.

The shoot will take place in Copenhagen, the 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th of April. All actresses and actors will be paid with 600 dkk pr. day

Actresses and Actors will need to be available on all shooting dates, as well as workshops from the 13th-17th of April and Blocking Workshops on the 20th and 21st. Not all actors will be required for every day of the workshops & Blocking.
Casting Audition taking place 28 & 29 of March.
